We recognise that our care staff are our most precious asset and this is why we invest so much of our time, energy and resources into their training. We want all our staff to know how much they are valued and that their happiness and job satisfaction is a key part of providing a community of compassionate caregivers.
A kind and caring person with a compassionate nature.
A sunny disposition.
A person trained to the highest standards with all the skills and competencies necessary to ensure those we care for are safe in our hands.
A person who feels valued and supported.
A person who is led by a vocation to care and seizes every opportunity for their own personal development in that vocation.
A person who is loyal, honest and committed to clients and their families.
A person who is patient and prepared to go the extra mile.
It starts with our thorough and in depth selection process which involves background checks, interview stages, practical training by our own bespoke Training Centre and shadowing an experienced carer before they start work.
At every stage, our new recruits are checked and monitored to ensure they are suited to the job they are doing.
Our commitment to Training Excellence is second to none.
Each carer is trained by our own expert trainers in our own Training Centre. This includes Induction Training at the start of their employment with Care Connect, and mandatory training including the Care Certificate which is the nationally recognised qualification for care professionals.
All training is delivered by our own fully qualified team of trainers.
We provide specialist training in areas such as stroke, dementia and end-of-life care. When we combine this specialist training with a carer’s existing skills and care experience, we can be sure that we have a truly professional carer in our winning team.
Each carer is mentored and supported through regular supervision and an annual appraisal, all of which contribute to their own personal development plan.
All calls are monitored electronically. Sufficient time is allocated to each call to ensure that the carer does not feel rushed or anxious about getting to the next call on time. In this way our carers are able to demonstrate their commitment to their clients and feel that they are able to go the extra mile for them.
Working together as a team we select, train, mentor, monitor and support our Carers to be the best they can be and encourage their professional development in care. We assess how we can best meet the needs of those entrusted to our care, formulate detailed Care Plans and ensure that they are delivered to the highest professional standards with courtesy, sensitivity and respect for the wishes of the individual concerned at all times.
